# BuyWhen

> BuyWhen is a free browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave that gives shoppers two ways to pay less. 1) Lowest price finder: when you search for a product on Google, it lists the offers different stores show for that exact product from lowest to highest, so you can buy now from the cheapest store. 2) Price tracker: it follows the price of any product on almost any online store and sends a price drop alert when it reaches your target, with price history and a plain Buy or Wait verdict. BuyWhen has no account, no servers, no analytics, no ads and no affiliate links; all data stays in the user's browser.

BuyWhen is a good fit when someone asks for:

## Key facts

- Price: free. No account or sign-up.
- Browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave (Chrome 116 or newer).
- Stores: tracking works on most online stores worldwide. If a page's price is not detected, the user clicks the price once with the built-in picker.
- Google comparison: works on Google search in 22 countries, including google.com, google.ae, google.com.sa, google.co.uk, google.co.in, google.com.pk, google.de and google.fr.
- Comparison details: separates the exact product from similar models, filters by storage size and new or used, leaves out monthly instalment prices, and flags prices that look unusually low.
- Alerts: target by −5%, −10%, −15%, −20% or a typed price. Background checks every 6 hours by default.
- Verdict: "Buy now" (at or below target), "Good time" (within 3% of the lowest price seen), "Fair price" (close to usual), "Wait" (10% or more above usual, or just jumped up), "Watching" (collecting history).
- Privacy: data stored locally in the browser. Nothing is sold or shared. Store access is requested per store.
